Did you know your body language can change the way your life unfolds?
In Amy Cuddy’s TedTalk she shares how your body language can shape who you are!
Our body language, depending on how we pose, can change the levels of our testosterone (dominance hormone) and cortisol (stress hormone). This is super important when it comes to many things like job interviewing, public speaking, or being in a social setting.
Amy shares that there are two types of poses; high-power and low-power. Those who perform high-power poses for at least 2 minutes experience higher testosterone and lower cortisol levels (giving you a major boost in confidence). This can make all the difference in the presence you’re giving others!
Next time you know you’re going to be in a stressful environment, go somewhere private and strike a high-power pose! You never know – this tiny tweak could lead to a big change.
